어휘 연습 #1

Hello! So, yesterday I made a very angry post about my no-ability in korean (is that even a word?... yea! inability is, tho!) Due that, I decided to follow an example that I saw earlier from this blog here, and I'll try to do the same, omg, please let me do the same. I need frequency.

SO, SHALL WE BEGIN?

Today I was reading an text from a pdf that is basically a reading practice in Korean, and I found out the word 살피다. I remember something like that from the deck that I study on Anki, which was 살펴도다, that means "to investigate", so, ok, the sentence that I saw with 살피다 was "(...) 그래서 (여우는) 포도밭 울타리 여기가지를 살피며 들어갈 만한 구망을 찾아보았어요."

The key to understand that sentence is to understand that the verb has the particle "-(으)면서/며" attached to it, which means "while". You guys probably know what "-(으)면" means, right? And probably had the same idea as me when I first read it, but it's not the case. This particle indicates the an action is happening while an another is happening as well. I know the example that I brought was a little bit weird because is out of context, but let's look those:

예) 원호씨는 영화를 보며 팝콘 먹어요.
WonHo is watching a movie while eating popcorn.

예 2) 태은씨는 커피를 마시며 이야기 해요.
TaeEun is dirking a coffee while talking .

Another thing that's good to remember is that - (으)면서 is usually seen on spoken korean and  -(으)며 on written korean, That's why I found out  - (으)며 after 살피다!

요즘에는 잘 지냈어요? ㅎ 잘 지내했면 좋겠어 ㅎㅎ사실은 작년 (2016) 10월 부터 나는 한국어를도 다시 공부했는데 아직 재일 배우는 방번 못 찾았어... 그러니까 많이 것을 하고이는에요 지금 ㅎㅎㅎ블러그하고 비디오 하고 대학의 한국어 배우 클럽도 하고있지요... 신하 신하!! ㅎㅎ

Ok, everyone, let`s break the korean thing down for just a sec. I'm just here to tell you guys [if, obviously, is someone there reading what I'm writing right now] is that I'm totally back to this blog thing that I started some years ago.

I am affraid of mistakes.

I am terrified.

I really hate making those, but how am I suppose to learn? The blog had such an enthusiastic tone that didn't match with my struggling with 한국어, so, now I'll use it anytime I feel like I want to write anything in korean, and that's what I'm doing, and I'm also making videos again, just 일기 videos, free talk and no script. OH, god. You can watch me being silly and saying stuff wrong here.
